Five PHS students qualify for international HOSA competition

Five Pattonville High School students qualified to compete at the international HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) competition in Dallas, Texas this summer after earning awards at the state level. Thirteen Pattonville students qualified to compete at the HOSA Missouri State Leadership Conference in March.

Will Polster qualified for the international competition after placing first in researched persuasive writing and speaking. The team of Sarah Baker, Evan Clark, Caleb Hughes and Tabitha Wilkerson qualified for internationals after taking third place out of 32 teams in HOSA Bowl. In addition, Mario Jauregui earned a Top 5 finish in dental terminology.

Other Pattonville students who qualified to compete at the state competition included Teidrick Banks, Mikayla Bridges, Victoria Lofland, Josh McKinley, Meaghan Pace, Maria Serra  and Sam Vaclavik. Their adviser is teacher Jamie Jobe.
