PHS team competes at U.S. Super-Regionals robotics competition

Team 2867 from the Pattonville High School Robotics Club competed at the FIRST Tech Challenge U.S. Super-Regional Championship in Athens, Georgia held March 8 through 10. Teams competing at this level are in the Top 7 percent of teams in the world, and the Pattonville team placed 31st out of 36 in its division.

Team 2867 qualified for Super-Regionals after taking honors at the First Tech Challenge (FTC) Missouri State Championship at the Missouri S&T. Pattonville teams 2867 and 7856 were among the 48 teams in Missouri (out of more than 200) to qualify for state, and Team 2867 was one of only 11 to move on to Super-Regionals from the state competition.
        
Members of the Robotics Club are: Clayton Austin, Greg Bahr, Slena Caldwell, Alex Duello, Cole Dunsford, Kaleb Gines, Colin Heidemann, Brendan Hilligoss, Tajh Martin, Ian McKeown, James McMahon, Erin McMahon, Summer Miller, Alex Morschl, Yasaman Mostafavi, Kyle Murphy, Michael Pieper, Zane Scott, Steven Seibert, William Skaggs, Kevin Stewart, Dan Trieu, Stephaun Turner, Colleen Tyarks, Sam Vaclavik, Cory Williams, Ben Wingerter, Jenny Wingerter and Kyle Wright. The team is sponsored by teacher Sue Mathis.
